    Dimitra Dalla
    PhD Student
    ddimitra@bio.auth.gr
Dimitra uses spatial prioritization tools to identify conservation and restoration priorities within a systematic conservation planning framework. Her research focuses on the integration of socio-economic factors and climate change metrics into prioritization analyses, to support effective and equitable conservation strategies.
  • Maria Papazekou
    Maria Papazekou
    PhD Student
    mpapazek@bio.auth.gr
Maria uses a systematic conservation planning framework for setting conservation priorities and design different protection zones and determine management goals.
  • Katerina Konsta
    Katerina Konsta
    PhD Student
    aakonsta@bio.auth.gr
Katerina graduated from the School of Biology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research focuses on understanding how climate change and climate driven extreme events, marine heatwaves, intensify across ocean depths and regions, threatening biodiversity and ecosystem resilience. By combining modelling approaches with species and habitat-specific analyses, her work highlights the exposure of key species to prolonged thermal stress.
  • Dimitris Pylarinos
    Dimitris Pylarinos
    PhD Student
    dhm.pylarinos@gmail.com
Dimitris graduated from the Department of Biological Applications and Technology of the University of Ioannina and obtained an MSc degree focusing on the locomotive behavior of the nocturnal primate Nycticebus pygmaeus. With a strong interest in environmental studies, he completed his internship at the Department of O.FY.PE.K.A in Kefalonia and has cooperated with the organization Wildlife Sense, which is dedicated to the protection of sea turtles around Kefalonia. Over the years, he has also participated in various conservation actions and seminars. He is currently pursuing a PhD, investigating how climate change will affect the reproductive success of the Mediterranean sea turtle (Caretta caretta) and the broader implications for the marine environment. His skills include spatial data analysis, ecological modeling, climate change impact assessment, and field research in marine and coastal ecosystems.
