Getting her degree from Mouloud Mammeri University, Algeria, she is currently enrolled in the International MSc course of Geoinformation in environmental management in Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania. Her current research lies in the field of computation ecology. Zahira is applying various types of models to address the efficiency of conservation areas to climatic change.

    Ivoni is a marine scientist/ichthyologist who graduated from the Department of Marine Science of the University of Aegean. Her scientific interests focus on the study of the ecology and conservation of the loggerhead sea turtle Caretta caretta as well as on the assessment of the effects of Marine Protected areas on fish fauna and fisheries. She has participated as a researcher in several European funded and National research projects while she has a long track record in the implementation of research protocols in the field along with data collection, analysis and management.

    Chrysoula loves sea turtles and their magic life history. Her interests focus on population dynamics, assessment of threats, climate change impacts upon distribution and behavior of the charismatic sea turtles. She is gradually turning into a quantitative ecologist gaining skills in data management and analysis, PVAs and network analysis using R and GIS applications.
